So Chase is softing me?

So during my app-spree insanity in mid-June, I got a Chase Freedom for 9k. Now they're softing me. Is that normal? I expected it from Amex (and they are), but is it pretty typical for Chase to do account reviews that quick?

All lenders usually will soft pull you at least once a month if you have no established relationship with them. After some time has passed, they will soft pull less, maybe once every 3-6 months.

After I got approved for a CSP, chase started softing me right away, soon afterwards my mailbox was being bombarded with Freedom offers and Slate offers. They could be reviewing you or looking to market to you.

Chase SPd me 4-5 times the first 6 weeks. Now it's once in awhile.

Weird... I had my 3rd CSP statement cut... they haven't softed me once after approval. They did soft pull a month before approval, ha.

As others have posted, the SPs are just part of their routine ARs (the more accounts one has with them, the more SPs one would see); and for some who have no Chase relationship yet, possibly a future PRM or solicitation offer.

Now I'm curious, I'll have to check and see. I know they have been mailbox bombing me with Slate and CSP offers. THe CSP is tempting as hell but I'm staying in the garden!!!

No, I don't mind you asking. My CS are in my siggy. I have AMEX PRG, Chase Freedom, Discover It, PayPal MC, Wal/Discover, DCU PLAT Visa, NFCU, Mutual of Omaha MC. Store cc's Macy's, JCP, VS, Nordstrom and I'm an AU on Sams Credit.

I think that's it. 1 baddie on EQ and EX both falling off next year.

Noob question, but how do you guys tell if the CCCs are softing you? I thought softs only appear if you get the CR directly from the bureau and not on the CR from monitoring services (including myfico??) If so, do most people on here get the CRs directly from bureau's every month?

Now that we can talk about it because it's been recommended by CSR's to many users (it used to be taboo on this website):

Get yourself to the dispute section (I use Experians off of my USAA).

In there you should see requests for credit information.

On top are the hard pulls.

Below that are the softs.

When I look at my EX reports, I can see that Chase SP's me amost every month. But I'm still stuck at $20K on my CSP. Any CLI they assure me would be a HP. Not sure why they SP though. Maybe if they are feeling generous, then they use the SP to auto CLI.

Customer initiated is always HP with them,

Chase and Amex seem to be softin me monthly, around the 21st of each month, for some reason I do not see a June 2013 entry for either one though, I wonder if its just behind in posting

They both SPd me in June. Amex already in July too.
