USAA Limited Members CAN still get CCs

Hey all:

Just got an email reply from USAA and followed it up with a call to customer care.

USAA will continue to offer CCs to limited members after July 27 IF they are currently members AND if they live in states other than Georgia. So, anyone who becomes a member AFTER July 27 in the state of GA will be affected by this change is offering.

So glad I followed up on this. I am staying in the garden. YAY!

your 100% right. i just got off the phone with them and the guy told me the same thing. the lady on the phone yesterday gave me the wrong info so i applied way more early than i wanted too. they just rejected me and now i got the 1st inquiry on my reports in a long time im pissed!

Sounds like a valuable learning experience.....go with your gut

On a side note, if you use USAA direct deposit for your paycheck, you can get the funds usually 24 hours before your acutual pay date

I'm a full member so this change won't apply to me, but just to make sure I am understanding and reading correctly:

Is it that current limited members who are not living in GA, are the ones who still will be able to get CCs?

And, is it that people who are not current limited members but do become limited members after the 27th no matter what state they live in, will not be able to get CCs?

I am asking for clarification because of the use of IF AND in the OP. Seems like it should read IF OR.

"IF they are currently members AND if they live in states other than Georgia."

So did I read this correctly? If I signup today with just a bank account that will be ok when i apply for the cc in a few months? Because I want the card but I don't want to apply yet because im not ready yet.

As long as you don't reside in Ga
