Lowes Approved!

Well I applied for my first card to get stuff for my new house. The my LO said he did his last soft pull this morning (closing Tuesday) and I am free to do what I need. I went ahead and apped for my lowes card. I don't plan on buying anything on it yet but I didn't know what I would be approved for so I needed to get it out of the way incase I was denied or my credit limit wasn't enough.

I was approved for $300 off the bat, called the back door number and talked to the nice lady who asked how much I want. I said that I was debating doing the $3500 for 84 months so $35000 would be great. She said are you sure you want $3500 and not something closer to 4k? I was kinda dumbfounded by that so I said $3800. She came back about 2 mins later and said Congrats.

First semi high balance card. I don't want to go crazy just incase they do do another soft pull. If they see an empty card it should be too big of a fuss. Either way I have the email saved with him giving his blessing. I didn't beat around the bush when I asked, I just straight said, hey I need a new refrigerator so when can I buy it?

Credit Scores are EX 681 EQ 700 TU 686.

Wow! Congrats... that is pretty awesome! And you could probably get a CLI in 4 months.

Congrats! I am honestly surprised your LO said to go ahead and app before you closed though! My LO and most other folks I'm sure too were told not to do a thing that would raise an alarm to an underwriter like app for new credit or anything like that. Heck, I waited until after our loan funded and the deed recorded to even start my first app. I'm glad it worked out for you!

On a side note, Lowe's credit card just declined me so I'm kind of bummed about that considering the other cards I was just able to open.
