CSP Damage Question.

So I have had my CSP in possession for 5 days now but today while at "Au Bu pon" store getting a sandwich the cashier's machine was kinda busted, she ended up swiping my card 6times to get a read but at the last swipe my card got stuck in the machine... And while pulling it out part of the magnetic strip in the back peel off.

So it possible to ask chase for a replacement card so soon? Or I have to stick it out hopping it still works.

Even though its been 5 days of me gettin the card? Part of the magnetic strip towards the edge peeled off -.-....

Yes. The. Card is damaged. Trust me, they want you to use the card.

I would just contact them and say you need a new card. These things happen and it would be silly for them to refuse to issue a new card.

There is a menu on the Chase online banking that deals with a damaged card. It doesnt matter how long it has been since you got the card. I promise you are not the first or the last. Plus, they want you to spend their money so you bet they will issue you a new one.

i just cried. I dont even have this card yet (i want it) and yours is already broken. lol

Yeah it got stuck in those square reader thing( the white one) note to self to not use the csp in one to those. They had to ply it out lol

Once Chase sends your replacement card they will give you an envelope to send back your old card to be destroyed.

Those square readers won't read cards that are thicker than normal.

Back to the OP's concern, yes they will replace your card. Why not? It's not made of gold.
