Walmart Credit Card - cant get a cli

I opened my account for a store card on 9/06. I've hit the request CLI button 3 times since I've opened my account and its been turned down each time. I'm still at a rediculous $75 limit, what gives?

Try calling a CSR, sometimes the human touch can work wonders.

What are your scores? Also any baddies on your reports? What are they and how old. With that limit I would have had to pay my balance 9 times already for the current billing month.

theres no annual fee and i've had the card for over a year, so i see no reason in closing it. i just spoke with csr as mentioned above, and they said the only thing wrong with my history is i'm not using the card enough, its showing i don't need the credit (i'm not einstein, but i thought this is when they give you credit).

my credit scores are in the low 500s, but they base their decision on just the account information, so i was told.

I know how you feel. I had a Capital One KMart CC for a whopping $75 CL around 6 years ago. I tried to get a CLI but couldn't. Didn't care about credit then, but after exceeding the CL and being late that month, I realized my fees surpassed the CL and I closed it. Being more credit savvy, I wonder what would have happened if I took care of that card.

They keep telling me I need atleast 4 month credit history! we will see what happens in the next 2 months. I use it regularly and PIF

I wonder do they upgrade to the Discover? like Target does Visa!????

Walmart likes to see regular usage of the card. Everytime I go to Walmart--I use it. Every 3 months I hit the cli button and so far I have never been denied.

I started at $75 cl a little over 2 years ago. Now I am at $1100 which is decent for this card.

wow, huge difference....did they upgrade you to the visa, or did you get that to start with?

i'm going to start buying a few things i need from walmart on my card and pif every month, hopefully that'll work.

I just click the luv button online and it gives me an instant message that I have been approved and how much. I just have the plain walmart card. They have offered me the visa but I am fine with sticking with the walmart card. I got my first increase about 3 or 4 months after having the card. And actually that was an automatic increase. Then after that I started clicking the button online. I use my card a lot and I usually pif.

Hey thanks to the last poster,

I didn't know they give them online immediatly...

My Cl was 400 they gave me an extra $100,

I'll take it for now. I think i'll hit the luv button more often...
