How long does "in progress" with amex take?

I applied for a delta gold on the 24th of July and to this date it still shows "in progress". They triple pulled me immediately that day and every time I call in (once every few days) they state it's being reviewed and if they need more information they will call me. Does anyone have experience with it taking this long?

You should have called already

If you haven't gotten any mail I would call bright and early tomorrow for results. They may just need more info to approve you.

My Amex application status showed In Progress until it disappeared months later. I was approved though

how do you put the CL and info for each Cards in your sig?? can you share?

I have called 3 separate times since the 24th, I get the same scripted line every time. In terms of my credit limits in my sig, I just added an additional line after the photos, its a trial and error process to get them lined up correctly.

After 15 days of being in linbo, I wake up to find out I WAS APPROVED! I am now a part of the AMEX FAMILY!

Outstanding!!! Congratulations and welcome to the Amex family! It sure took them long enough - makes me wonder what the hold-up was. At any rate, well done on getting approved. If you give 'em a call, they'll tell you what your limit is.

I just got off the phone with the automated system, my credit limit is.......$2000......which makes it the single highest non joint credit limit I have! Woohoo!

Welcome aboard. It is nice to be part of th Amex family .There is something special about having this card in your wallet. I've had my BCP for about a year and the savings are worth the HP and paying a yearly fee (which was waived for me immediately).

Best customer service. They call right away if your purchases seems suspicious, lousy when you purhcase something and it is declined, but great for security reasons.

Interesting to note, in my packet was my Fico from TU : 695, taken on 8/7..... same score as my walmart +/-1 day. Amex uses TU08? and why was there a second pull? (original one was on 7/24 when I applied.)
