Chase Applicant Score System

I was just denied for the Chase Southwest card... Didn't think I would get it. Either way the denial letter listed a score of 560 done by there Applicant score system and said that the score ranges were 100-900 any idea how they come to that score?

It is an internally enhanced score derived from FICO. If it scored in the 500-600 range, then it would indicate that your file scored around the "fair" or "average" in the elegibility criteria.

Thanks.... When I pulled the Myfico score from ex. it came at a 665 so I was worried to see a 540 from them at first.

i think that might actually be a modifiied vantagescore (regular was 501-990, new version released this year is 300-850). I was also scored on that 100-990 scale when i apped for the Freedom and Sapphire a year ago. Didn't mention Fico at all.

I was scored a 685 when I got the letter from freedom. They also used the 100-990 scale. My fico was 630~ at the time.

What does your your credit look like? Depending on what is in your file you can call for a recon.

Chase and Amex have their own internal scoring system...

Sorry to say both are all over the place as far as how they approve applicants
