I'd check whogavemecredit and see what the approval score ranges have been recently.

I agree, but I just was approved for $500 cl online. I had 1 inquiry, and high uti, and lates that are about 4-5 years old. No late payments since.

By the way they pulled Experian here in CA and via MyFico 646 when I checked.

Target is the most arcane card in the world. I got approved, in the store, for - get this - $200. With a 7 figure income and 800 level credit scores.

That was 6 years ago, and my CL is STILL $200. Nothing those people do makes any sense to me. I just use it as a discount card. Pay at the register to get my 5% and then immediately make a payment at customer service.

Wow!!!!! Well I just applied like 3 weeks ago with the new bank taking over. Unfortunately, Target was one of the paid charge offs I had years ago. My income does help, household also 6 figures, but my fico well still work in progress . Have you tried asking for a cl at any point or since being taken over by the new bank?

I have no idea who runs the credit dept at Target, but they clearly a have no business working there.

My boss went into to target to buy 2 tandems bikes, went to pay with the platinum amex card, they offered her 10% off if she opened a target card and paid with the target card. Get this she was approved for $350. The bikes where $700 for both. She declined. The card is a joke.

To my knowledge, Target doesn't accept customer initiated CLI requests. I'm honestly not that concerned about it. It's not as though I need the credit.

Well it serves it's purpose for the 5% IMO. I get it though, there's a few creditors that actually make no sense the way they run their credit department.

I closed my target card after a year of no increases and low limit. Now I use another rewards card @ target if I go.

don't bother with target. it's really not worth it. you can get the debit card if you wanna have the same benefits the credit card provides without the small limits.

You know it is strange the way they give out limits. My sister who is now a stay at home mom but has a high fico close if not over 800 was just approved with a 3k limit.

I was approved last Sept. It was the last in my app spree. Scores in the 660-680 range. Received a $3k Cl. I was shocked! It was my highest line then.
