Does any body use payment tags ?

Was just looking on citi sight like ya all and was reading about their payment tag.

click on tools and services than click on order a payment tag.

Thanks for the information. I never noticed them before on the Cit website. Payment tags, are like Mobil Speed Pass, or any other compact credit quick-pay devices.

Yes very handy. We have speedpass for exxon/mobile quick and easy to use.

There must be some company here in Phoenix pushing this hard-

All the CircleK's are putting them in, used it at Micky D's yesterday, used it a at the hockey game recently, etc.

I want AMEX to put one on my Green !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see to many of the readers in my ares otherwise I would get one. I was hearing a couple of companies were going to team up with cell phone makers to put the chips in cell phones, that would be interesting.

Im in phx too and have also seen them around quite a bit... jack n the box as well

There are lots and lots of security problems with payment tags.

I work in the software industry, and there is a story about every month about hackers (white hats mostly so far) being able to snag info from unsuspecting passersby who are carrying payment tags.

Personally, and I'm a technophile, far from a luddite, I'd wait a few revision cycles before using them.

I don't want to be beta-testing stuff that has a linkage to my checking account.

You mean the ones you can get at http://zapatopi.net/afdb/ ? I use this site to introduce critical thinking skills about "what you see on the Internet" sometimes. Oh, and my other favorite is http://www.geoffmetcalf.com/bread.html if you're bored and looking for a laugh.

Seriously, every time I see someone use a payment tag I shudder. Techie by nature and profession, I absolutely don't beta-test for anyone who isn't paying me. Connect it to my bank account? Not a chance.
