Joined NASA this weekend. Applied for Platinum card last night. I was pretty sure I would get it based on the reviews. I received a call at 11:00A from rep. Congratulations, you have been approved for the cl you requested. What threw me was the APR of 9.9%. ME??? I figured 12-14% (This was prior to being upgraded to Gold with Patelco at 8.9% after 10 days). What's going on???

NASA, JUSTICE, and Patelco all said yes. PENFED said no 2 weeks ago.

Oh... no baddies since BK in 2001. Have high debt ratio on two accounts (Dell and Shell) Go figure, high UT on gas card.

Yes, they pulled EQ. They have been known to pull others, but mainly EQ.

When you joined NSA for the NASA membership, do you have to renew that membership yearly? The NSA membership that is.

Nasa requires NSS membership (NSA is for Justice)but I wasn't asked for proof. Sent proof of income. They faxed me an application to sign for credit card (didn't have to fill out again). BTW, I joined just in case they wanted documentation. They respond quickly.

My bad. NSS is what I meant to type. So many acronyms to remember. My question is do you have to renew your NSS membership every year to keep your status with NASA?

I would reapply next year. I had BK 2000 and got approved for a good amount of credit with them. Just be prepared to cough up financials.

As far as membership yearly with NSS, I don't believe so. As I said, they didn't ask for any documents to prove association membership. I had to prove membership for Justice.
