I'd like to get a revolving AMEX to replace my AMEX Green card and its annual fee but I just keep getting denied, probably because of years old lates and some higher than optimal balance because of 0% financing deal im doing...

I might be able to be added as an AU for a little bit if it will help me get the AMEX card, plus just generally boost my scores.

What do you think? Is it as simple as being added as a AU on the card and then you get that entire trade line added to your credit card? Which would help my AAoA, Utilization, etc..

it will help.

Wells Fargo should report it.

Some lenders do not look factor in cards where you're an AU, some do. It really depends. Generally it will boost your AAoA though, so your scores should see a small boost, I think.

Yeah i mean i dont have really BAD credit or anything, but its not perfect...AMEX is kind of a stickler...have had my Green card 2 years now and still cant get them to budge on anything else...and I got that one with some MAJOR bad stuff showing! Also, maybe it would help Capital One give some kind of CLI after 7 years of being a customer at a measly $500...sheesh.

Can you get added for a month or two and then be taken off? Will that trade line continue to report even if your ar removed as an Authorized User?
