How does one go about receiving pre-approval applications for credit cards?

I know pre-approval does not guarantee getting the card but I was wondering anyway.

Will this website initiate any inquiries or cause any negative outcomes for opting in?

that only opts you in if: Opt-In and be eligible to receive Firm Offers. This option is for consumers who have previously completed an Opt-Out request - (electronically through this website).

So I won't be able to Opt-in since I've never asked to Opt-Out?

I used it to opt in and started receiving offers. I did opt out before, though. Didn't think it made a difference.

It will opt you in to receive offers. If your credit report was blocked from promotional offers, it will release your information. Keep in mind, just because youve opted in does not mean you'll start to receive pre-qual offers. Your cr profile will still need to 'match' the lenders marketing specs.

YMMV if it will send offers your way.
