This is right. They only stay on your report for two years, and stop counting in scoring after only one year.

So all those inquiries stopped hurting your score in July 2007.

I just paid a large sum of my balances down on current cc's. I know my fico will go up, but I want try to get a card with a higher cl. So my question is after doing my due diligence and decide which cards I want to apply for, should I do them(the apps) the same day? don't want to lower my fico too much. Or does it matter, thought I read somewhere here if you applied in same time frame some of the inquiries would be grouped together.

My worst experience was when I went to get a new car in 2006 July... I went to couple dealership to compare prices and they went to check my credit and so on... Even though I told them I already have a check from HSBC for 24k 11% Apr (like 580 FICO i think). Well the dealership said they can get me a better offer cause they got the hookup... lol what a BS*** End result he couldnt get me better deal.

I got car with check in hand.... anyways

couple months later i check my credit report in Sept.... I see a SPAM of 12 hard inq from long list of banks and other places... that stupid agent spammed my credit report everywhere wth...

so looking at my CR it says they come off in 2009... i'm never going to that agent or dealership
