Those of you with Fingerhut

so i just pulled a recent copy of all 3 and saw that my fingerhut acct was gone off of Transunion like non-existent i think FH has stopped reporting to Trans and deleted there TL off my Trans report because it only shows on EQ now...anyone else have this experience or is it just me.

Couple questions......

Where did you pull your CRs from? How long have you had the FH account? Is anything currently being disputed on TU?

Yes, the same thing happened to my husband's fingerhut acct. I just checked his Transunion report this morning and the tradeline has been deleted and his $250.00 credit limit. At first I thought the account was closed for non use, but I checked the fingerhut website and it is still there. Go figure!

I can confirm this same thing happening on my Trans Union report today.

I pull all three reports daily. Yesterday, my FingerHut tradeline was reporting on both Equifax and Trans Union - as it always has been reporting since day 1.

Today, FingerHut has vanished from my Trans Union report. FingerHut only is reporting on Equifax for me as of right now.

So as to the OP, I don't know what's going down, but I can confirm that it's not only happening to him at this time...

Don't know if it's a glich, an intentional thing, or whatever.

Thats big if your FH is one of your oldest acct. reporting on TU.

yea i know luckily its not !!! ( Wipes Forehead) lol guess FH is tired of reporting to Trans now.... so now they are down to 1 CB making them an almost useless TL now for building history...

Yeah I noticed the same thing today!!!! I thought it was just a glitch...and I hope it still is. My TU score took a hit w/o the $250 weighing in on mu util. I HOPE IT IS GLITCH. Anyone call? Is this a quick fix?

It's weird how everyone is experiencing this, mine is a little bit different. My FH account shows on my CR 2 times, one says closed account and the other is active in good standings?? I don't know what's going on. Also they had recently added an additional $500 cli for 1 month and as long as I use part of that cli, then they will keep the increase forever but if I don't use any of that cli within 1 month, then they will take it away. I don't know, maybe a promotional offer.

Well I had no need to use it and they did take the $500 away! FH is weird and play by their own terms at will.

Wanted to add that this is the 2nd day where the FingerHut tradeline is no-show on Trans Union. I pulled using USAA's CCMP unlimited pulls. Like yesterday, when this first happened, my AAoA went up and well as other changes (for the most part positive or neutral) due to the nuking of the FingerHut tradeline.

This morning, I also checked my TU report directly from the TU site and FH is a no-show there, too.

Still reporting on Equifax...meaning at this time, FingerHut is reporting to only ONE credit bureau out of the three majors. Should this continue, it would make this tradeline a fairly useless one to get in order to "build credit" - so people's advice around here will have to change when it comes to people who want to rebuild and the "get-a-fingerhut-account-card" gets pulled as part of the advice around here.

Checked WebBank's website and find no mention of this issue on their site.

If this stands, Fingerhut is going to HAVE TO change their marketing and agreements where they mention one major benefit of a FH account is "rebuilding credit" because "we report to credit bureaus" - "credit bureaus", plural, with an "S". I know I'll call them on this if this continues and I will make some noise.

Either way, if anybody gets any solid information on this issue, please post it so that those of us with FH accounts get the latest news (yeah, might be worth calling them on this issue, but I'd be surprised if some customer service drone has any information on this or that any information they give would be considered reliable).

Fingerhut dropped off TU for me as well. I believe it's temporary or an error.

I wrote to FH because I was upset they only report to EQ and TU. They wrote back saying they will be reporting to all three CRA's by the end of the year!

same here - And I got a 9pt bump on TU when it disappeared. $0 balance/$600 cl. I was worried that it might hurt due to util but nothing yet. It's still on EQ. Maybe the bump is from AAoA? Anyway, I'll take it

Fingerhut deleted itself from my TU as well. I'd also like to know what's going on. I never liked that they only reported to 2 bureaus, so if they're no longer reporting to TU, that card will be closed! While it was my first credit card, I received my Cap 1 a month later. No biggie on closing it.

I checked CreditKarma today for my weekly updates & my fingerhut account disappeared as well :/ luckliy it's not my oldest account but had a limit of $1750 I sent them an email so hopefully I find out asap what's going on

I just contacted Fingerhut and they're just as puzzled about this as we are. He looked into my account and said they last updated in Aug. This is true because I saw it before it disappeared. I guess this is a CK or Transunion issue?

My opinion would be that the CSR just doesnt know most likely a company such as FH probably doesnt care to communicate that with there CSRs or there members as it says in the TOS when you sign up can change without notification ...
