AMEX BCE Question.

So yesterday I was Approved for AMEX BCE

But I found out my CL is only $1,000

making it the lowest CC I have, I was hoping they would match my Discover IT Cl which is $5,000

my question is can i call the backdoor number to see if i can get it increased?

has anyone ever done this to AMEX or anyother company?

You can try but be ready for one of things below

1. Another HP

2. The "cant CLI within the first 60 days of opening" thing

idk if I'll actually try it though, I'm debating

I was hoping to get approved for $2,000 and above manily for the 3x CLI at 61 days

making it $6,000 instead of $3,000 if I get approved for the 3x CLI

Can't hurt to try, just clarify what type of pull first to see if you're ok with it. I tried it and got the second reply.

When AMEX finally approved me, I got the dreaded 1K limit.

I just used it for two months, got my 61 day 3x CLI, up to 3K.

When my next CLI is ready to go, I'm going to try for anothr 3x to 9K.

congrats, i think i might just do that.

still upset that its only 1K.

2k would of been ideal.

Then wait another 180 days and ask for $24,900

Amex has been the best as far as instant approvals for accounts and clis. They give me no beef(beef is gross anyway, ew!) and respect me as a creditworthy customer. They have never denied me yet.
Went from $3500 on BCE to $24,500 in 9 months! Plus got a $5500 Delta too!
If you want any more Amex cards, app right after your second cli!

After 61 days to you wait another 180 or just 120 with the 60 days from the first CLI ?
I read the guide but forgot.

+1... I know you're disappointed but in less than a year you can increase that limit substantially, just be patient. I got a Costco Amex immediately after I got my first CLI...
