AMEX reporting question

I paid off my AMEX card two weeks ago. I've been patiently waiting for the reporting date so this would reflect in my util.

They've reported finally, with a reporting date of 4/8 (two days ago) and it shows the balance from the statement prior, not the statement that is currently available. I purposely paid the card off two weeks BEFORE the statement closing date and before AMEX reported so that it would reflect on my CR. Do they typically report 30 days behind? All my other CCCs report with the current billing. (i.e., HSBC is finally reporting, and they are reporting the balance as of the statement issued a couple of days ago.) Is this just SOP for AMEX?

Be careful with that. Disputing anything about positive tradelines in good standing can often do more harm than good.

Disputing positive TLs in good standing can sometimes result in total deletion of the account and/or a fraud alert on your file. Just tread very lightly in that area.
