I'm trying to decide whats next on the list for when I decide to start apping again and Chase Freedom is fairly high up there.

I read that points earned on the Freedom can be transferred to UR if you already have an existing CSP, but I didn't see anything on the Chase website regarding this.

Could someone confirm or deny that?

The Freedom seems like a pretty good card either way with the revolving 5% categories. Having the flexibility to transfer the cash back feature into URs would be another selling point for me.

It is correct that they can be transferred. I did this earlier today

Having the flexibility to transfer the cash back feature into URs would be another selling point for me.

It is 100% true! I just did this a last week, Transferred my current accumulated points (with acct opening bonus points) to my newly acquired CSP to make hotel reservations in Orlando, FL and Universal Studios Tickets through the UR site. Super easy and totally worth it!

Side Note:

It rained/stormed when we got there and I was afraid that I was going to lose out on my purchase so I called the number on the back of my CSP to find out what my options were and they told me that I did have travel protection and if it persist that I could call them and get a refund back on my ticket purchase if not already used. The CSR even looked up the weather report on that particular area where I was staying to let me know that it will soon subside! Who does that?! Did not end up doing that because the day became absolutely beautiful, however this was so GREAT to know that I had that option. I think by far CSP customer service out ranks others.

Thats great! Thanks for the info!

The revolving 5% seems like it might be a bit of a pain(activating quarterly) but if the categories stay the same next year I'd definitely be able to cherry pick some a decent amount of points to convert over for UR.

Behind Sallie Mae I think its now my #2 "want".
