Safest place to check my credit score?

I read somewhere that it's free to check once a year? I'd love to see what my score is (I've never checked it before)

why don't you check it here on myfico? You get a free trial of myFICO Score Watch. If you don't want to keep it, just cancel before the trail ends but you can get your scores RIGHT HERE on myFICO.

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

doesn't provide the score for free, but it does provide your credit report for free once a year.
