WAMU Rewards card offer

I went into my bank branch today to pay on my WAMU plat regular CC.....I made a 500.00 payment and the teller that was waiting on me asked if i would like to apply for the WAMU Rewards card....

he told me the benifits of having it and said it would be a second card or that i could transfer my old card and combine the two..

I said well i didnt expect to apply for any cc's today but he encouraged me to do so...He directed me to a young lady at a desk..she did a few things and i signed an application.....she then said i would hear from them within 7 days...she said she couldnt tell me anything as far as the application chances but ...made a statement like...Well we approved you for one card already..and smiled slightly.

NOW im worried and a bit confused if i might have made a mistake or if they are going to do a hard pull or something....I now am so courious if i will actually get the second card.

I know they pull from TU and my score with them is currently about 680+

Anyone have any experience with this they can share??

I had two cards, the second one was approved with a lower score than yours. It was twice the amount of my first card. Good luck. I ended up combining the two.

Camillion, I've had a Providian card for 8 years that turned into a WaMu card with the buyout.

I received a pre-approval in the mail from them in late last Sept. I applied online and was approved. When I received the card the cl was $6,500.

I hope the same thing happens to you.

P.S. my scores were a lot lower than yours, btw.

I have that card (WaMu Real Rewards), but I applied for it through a preapproved offer in the mail. WaMu has been the most generous of my creditors so far; they gave me $15K and 0% on purchases until 1/1/10 (that's 21 months from now).

WOW thats a nice Credit limit....Im just a bit courious how much my cl will be....My first card i got from WAMU a year ago was only 1000.00....

Ive paid every month More than the minimum and am at about 200.00 balance

I just dont seem to have good luck with CLI or with high credit amounts period..

I have Never been late on any of my cards...and have several..

But my TU score is only 680

My expertain and equafax scores are much lower and i can see NO reason for it..

They actually dropped recently...And i really cant figure out why.

ALl these things make me nervous

I did recently get a 1000.00 credit line increase from home depot but got Declined for an increase from BOA although IVE never been late and have always paid more than minimums....the card is about 1 year old

WAMU has never offered me any other cli or any other offers...but like i stated above i went into the branch to pay on my card and he gave me the rewards card info.

I just dont know if this is a (REAL) possibality or if it was just a routine ((Apply and YOU MIGHT or Might not get it offer..

I received an offer in the mail from WaMu asking me to upgrade to either cash rebate or rewards structure. I'm still debating on which one I should pick. I have a charge on there, I'm wondering if I'll get points if I convert now on the charge that I already placed on the account. Don't you only accrue points when you make payments?

In my situation I was approved, the other card had been open almost a year, and I was given twice the limit compared to the first card. I combined these later to have a higher CL. Everyone has a different interpretation on decent CL. Mine is very different than most because my credit picture is different. I think they were reasonable when you look at my individual credit picture. It was not an OH MY GOODNESS GREAT CL! It was more thanks for recognizing I am a good customer.

I just wanted you to know they did approve me for the second card, and I was happy to see it at twice the amount of the first.

No, you accrue points when you make charges. I really doubt that you would get any points retroactively for charges you have already made.

welp....i called today to check on this ....Declined ((

I am working soooo hard to get everything in Pristine order and I Always am declined for everything.

I have NO baddies on any of my accounts...dont use my cards in ANY form of excess...Ive had most of my cards for over 3 years....

the oldest being 11 years....

I always pay more than min due

I always pay on time

I use my card or cards once and my scores go down

I am AFRAID to even use a card.

DECLINE has become my middle name..

I cant even get CLI

what am i doing so wrong>>??? CRY ((
