NFCU and the power of this forum!

Without the knowledge I've gained here, I never would have signed up with NFCU (through brother-in-law).....after getting 18 months of baddies behind me, I have been approved for everthing I've applied for. Due to some expensive vision surgery, I asked to up my limit on Rewards card by $2k.....granted! I haven't had the card for one month! I switched over 3k of my dh's debt to 0% interest for 12 months. Had my home painted AND now have a NavCheck....no more payday loans.

This forum and the people in front of it (and behind) are truly HELPING anyone who wants to LEARN. Rebuilding is tough, but it can be DONE! Knowledge is POWER!

Congrats! I also learned about NFCU on this forum and am not doing quite well with them. They are fantastic.

I recently joined because of what I read here and then got my son in on them. He is just out of college starting a new job away from home and I wanted him to apply for their credit card since he only had a cap 1 with a 1000.00 limit that I made him get when he started school so he would have a crdit history. Within 30 seconds he gets approved for 17 k at 7.4%. Love NFCU>

The forum and Navy have changed our life, 12/15/12 +/- we had to move and was told (leasing agent) to go to MYfico and see where we were score wise.. Surprised to see 640 with a BK in 8/2011 and ZERO CC's thought (Wrongly) I did not need Credit Cards. Joined Navy In February and now have $40k in available CL started at $10.. Really have no need for more they are the best (for Me). Would have never known about Navy if it was not for MYFico.. New House sometime in the next YR.
