If I keep getting locked out of my American Express online account and having to reset my password can I get any information to see who has been trying to log into my account!?

AMEX doesn't track the last few logins like some websites do. Some websites you can see the last IP address that logged into the account. Best bet is to contact AMEX tech support immediately.

They will not.... But they can see based on the IP address who did the few last attempts.

Do you use Mint.com or some other website/program to manage multiple accounts? Sometimes Mint.com will get it wrong and keep trying and I end up getting locked out of some accounts.

danny, it's could be an accident not necessary s1 try to hack your account. For example, my account rock090991 and i typed rock0909 several times before i realized my mistake lol

No. I don't use mint.com or anything like that. Just a normal browser.

Okay thanks, it just keeps happening and I keep having to reset my password and just want to know where at least this person is trying to do this from. It's really odd that it keeps happening.

I would probably change the username aswell; that way if someone really is trying to get in they won't even be typing in yours.

Even if AMEX can see the last few IP addresses used to try and access the account, they won't tell you who is trying to access your account or from where. I've had this issue before, and the only way I was able to find out where the access attempts were coming from was because the website let me see it myself

Thats not what I meant at all..

I worded my last response poorly. The issue i had was with Gmail and someone trying to access my email from China. Gmail lets you see the last few IP addresses used, not AMEX.

Amex will not reveal the ip addresses to you unless you have a subpoena. That being said, if you are being locked out constantly, its best to change the login ID, password and email address.

I forget my usernames and passwords almost daily. I'm beginning to make a list to prevent this, but imagine a person like me... With a horrible memory and too much to memorize...
