Celebrating the arrival ...

My Amex Green approved last Friday arrived today, surprisingly via USPS. The card I requested for my wife was not included, but when I activated my card I enrolled her. Got confirmation that her's would arrive in two weeks.

Between Cardmember Agreement parts 1 and 2, and the document called Additional Card Benefits there is a lot to read. [Anything to look out for?] I was looking forward to some confirmation of the FICO numbers that they based decision on ... but none.

BTW: Where do you sign this card???

Well, I'm off to enjoy the benefits of membership!!! LOL Any suggestions?

Congrats on your new arrival! Since its a charge card there aren't any terms to base your credit score. Take DW to a nice dinner

Congratulations. You sign it in the back like any other credit card and yes, no terms since it's a charge card. PIF is the name of the game!

How long did it take for your card to get to from the date of approval ? I am just wondering because i recently got approved for BCP and they are saying second week of october :-(. I asked if they could expedite it , but was denied.

I applied for Amex Green on a Friday earlier this month, the card arrived in the mail the following Thursday.

ahh thanks for the info , and congrats on the new card. Do you only get their fico score on denial or should you get it for both approval or denials, i am quite interested to find out. Apparently they triple pulled me when i applied for my BCP so looks like i must have been borderline.

Approved Friday, card arrived Thursday via US Post Office.

See 09Lexie above. Since mine is a charge card, FICOs weren't an issue. I guess that with credit cards you get FICO info. The more knowledgable can chime in.

Ahh i see , well guess i will have to see when all my cards come in how bad the damage was in this most previous app spree. Looks like amex triple pulled me and discover double pulled me. Oh well i am off to the garden till at least next june lol.

If the terms that they offered you aren't the best, they will tell you about the fico score they used and what they found out on your report. You will be able to access your CR for free actually even though you were approved. if they triple pulled you then you probably didn't get the best terms, I'd think so wait for a letter in the mail from AMEX, should arrive before you get your card.

i was actaully surprised i got approved at all, but the guy i talked to on phone said apr was 12.99, which seems decent compared to apr i got from discover :-( only time will tell when i finally get my card with all of that information.

Piece of advise:
It's reported that high spend from Authorized Users on Amex accounts will send up red flags and cause a "Financial Review". A FR review is where Amex hassles you for tax returns.
So just be aware... Again, it's <1% you'll experience this but just be aware it is a commonly reported trigger.
