7-10 day message on AMX CLI

Ok so after a year of having a starting limit of 2000 on my BCE I hit the CLI button and got the 7-10 day message. I gather that's a nice way of saying no..?? Any thoughts is this a good thing or bad thing. I asked for 5500 should I have gone lower?

MY FICO = EX FICO 734 EQ FICO 675 TU FICO 711 as of 9/29/13

Not always. It depends on a variety of factors but everyone's experience will vary.

Not always a decline. What was your util when they SPd you?

I wanted to use it on my vacation but the limit is so low on it. I got CLI's from Discover and CITI today for $7000 both soft pulls no problem..Sorrry I asked for the CLI now! Guess I'll go do girl things and try not to worry..Gosh! I hope they dont cancel both my cards i have the Zinc card with them also.

My total was 24% per EQ but some off my cards I paid off on 9/11 were still not reporing a 0 balance on the report I pulled today..

Why would they cancel your cards? It's a CL request and if it's denied your old limit will remain.

Thanks Lexie I feel better now. Its just I read so many bad things on the board about AMX thats why it took me a year to even ask for the CLI... I need to chill I know!

Check your email not sure if it happens on the weekend but people who have got the 7-10 message report getting a email later saying approved .......Good luck i'm pulling for you

Take a breath. You'll be fine. Myjourney is correct, my DH got the 7-10 day and a hour later came the email. Think positively, if not try again in 90 days.

I was approved for 3x cli this month on 61st day. Amex is one of the companies with generous cli policies. I would recon if you had material change in your util which is not reported in your credit report. Best of luck.

Recon does not work on CLI's with Amex. OP can try again in 90 days if its denied. Keep an eye on your cr and ask after your SP's are in your favor.
