So far so good....

JUST got back from opening my FIRST checking & savings acct from my local CITI branch and everything was successful. Im going to return in 10 days with my paycheck to deposit money, get temporary debit card, and set up online acct.

Also just paid of dads Brooks Brothers CC that had a $146.00 balance. Its now "0" and will be closed once new statement generates. CL $1,400

Same with dads Best Buy CC it had a $139 balance and its now at "0" and will also be closed. CL $1,200

ALL IN ALL IM FEELING POSITIVE, and seeing the light. I do got WAY more CCs to pay off. "Step by step"

@myjourney do you mean post the cards owed and then cross the ones being paid? I mean some members might jump out of their chairs once they see the crazy APR we are paying everysingle month. AND THANKS Happy dance all day everyday!

Congrats on first bank accounts! That's one of the first steps to personal financial responsibility, IMHO. Citi is good to get in with, too. Don't burn 'em, like I did...heheh.
