      <description>&lt;P&gt;So my big sis applied for the Citi Diamond preferred on friday night, receive a message said her application need to be reviewed further. She called the backdoor number today(2numbers) and all they said was please wait 7-10 for their respond. Anyone ever has this situation? Is there anyway to speed up the process?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>not really the same situation but i applied at citi often the past couple months to try and get me a credit card with them. i basically got the "stop applying already, damn it". suffice to say, i dont think they want my business LOL. i find them tough cookies to try and get in with.</description>

      <description>You can try to talk to the credit department to see if they can expedite it. If they can't, you will have to wait then. Sometimes it may just be that they need to verify your ID. Chase does this as well sometimes.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;YMMV greatly. But i got a preapproved mailer, applied, instant approval for $500. Upon activation, asked for 3k, but was told it would be a hard pull so I backed out. Did it myself online and got denied. Called the EO and got automatically approved. The rep said he saw no reason why it should have been denied.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, in short, my experience is they are a generous lender...and my credit aint all that great. 2 baddies and a collection from 4 to 6 years ago&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>My mother had this happen when she applied for the Simplicity. She call the back door number and was also told to wait for the letter, but that it was still being reviewed. They called her a day or two before she received the letter to verify information and approved her.</description>

      <description>@bigbang, call their standard customer service number and ask to be transferred to the credit department. I don't know their direct number, so i been asking regular CSRs to transfer me there when I needed to talk to them.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Those people working in that department are real analysts that are able to make decisions on CLIs, approvals, etc.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Otherwise, just call the EO. If you need the number let me know.</description>

They can also look up your app with your SSN if you don't have the app ID. Most people don't have it unless they have the letter Citi sent when they call. Citi should have sent another email regarding the decision. You get two. I would call again. Most agents don't have a clue what their doing.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
