Thanks Discover? (Again: 10/15/13)

The new credit line on your Discover card account is $2,750, of which your cash credit line is $300.

I didn't request anything but I'll take it. $2,000 to $2,750. Opened Apr 13.

I've been running quite a bit through the card. Letting it close with a balance.

Update (10/15/13):

Dear Mr. Flower,

In the coming months, we will continue to evaluate your account. Then based on your overall credit behavior and Discover card usage, we may continue increasing your credit line.

Same as above. I've been using the card for 5% categories and a little additional. Letting the statments cut with the full balance and then paying about 1/2 the balance before the due date.

It's actually why I carried one. After reading everyone's post who got an auto cli I decided to cary a balance on it (since it's 0 APR).

I know how you feel! Everyone gave me nice CLIs and here come Discover with $500. But an increase is an increase as long as they dont deny you! Congrats!

When you say carry a balance, does that mean you just made a min payment?

My first statement closed June 10th. I had paid ~$600 before the close of the statment. End balance $850.

My second statment just closed on July 10th. I had maid one payment of $300. Statment closed at $893.

My first statment was long 2 months because I adjust my due date when I got the card.

I also ran through $1,000 in tires and tried to run extra through the card for 2% on a catagoury I normally getting nothing back on.

Where's my auto CLI, Discover? The only compliment they gave me about my perfect payment history was a "special offer" on a Personal Loan. I had to go through a phone rep to get a CLI.

Not necessarily...I got a $300 auto CLI last month and I had a $0 balance for a couple of months.

Congrats, oh I wonder how they determine the cash credit line, my CL is 3k and my cash credit line is 1500 ....well doesn't matter i guess though

Ok. So I manage my partner's credit in addition to mine. We opened a Discover via their pre-approved offers for him in April. It came with a $750 CL. We have ran through about $7,000 during that time and have been PIF-ing. I requested a CLI to $4,750 last month, it was a hard pull, but they went a head and approved it!

I wish I would have seen this thread first. Lukcily, the HP was on TU. : )

This month, we have a balance of $1,700. According to your method, we should let the full $1,700 report, then pay half of the balance, and carry the rest to next month?
