Does Citi CLI Request cost hard?

Those of you requested for CLI on your Citi Cards did they cost you hard inq?

they did on home depot.

I think on credit card too unless they say otherwise.

even when you request through luv button online? I thought if it exceeds certain limit then they will pull hard other wise it is soft.

When you log in to your account, see if there's a link that says something like, "Request Credit Line Increase" and if you click on it and see a web form, yes, there will be a hard. But, if you click on it and it says something like, "You're eligible for an $XX.XX credit line increase, do you wish to accept?" Then there is no hard.

I've recently seen both offers on two separate Citi accounts for me. For the latter, I took the offer and I did not receive a hard inquiry. I have not filled out the form, not sure if I want the hard.

How long did you have your card before you received the "you are eligible" notification?

I had an automatic (did not request, did not push the love button, did not receive an inquiry) CLI in December from 4600 (i think) to 5800. I've been waiting to do a balance transfer to my citi card but needed a larger CL so I clicked on the credit line increase link on my online account yesterday. I got an instant offer for a 1500 increase. I took it. I would have liked more, but since it's soft, I won't complain. I'll wait another three months and try again.

I've had this account since 2000. I transferred the original $5000 balance to the card when I graduated college. I paid if off pretty quick and use it moderately (it was my only card) for a number of years. It sat idle for about 5 years until last year when I started to do auto pays on it for some of our utilities. Last fall I product switched to the dividens card.
