CCCU card - how long to hear back?

I applied last night and got a message saying they would call me with their decision within one business day. It's almost the end of the day so I'm guessing they're not calling me today. How long have others had to wait to hear back?

I applied last week still havent heard anything back Ive heard it can take up to a month to hear back

I think I applied last Friday or Saturday ( days kinda blending right now) and got a call back on Wednesday. I wasn't home, but I called back yesterday (6 days) and was told that I was denied, not for bad credit, but for high debt to income ratio. I think it is because I did some balance transfers and payoffs/closures that are still showing as open and owing on my CR. Some of them are even duplicated, showing as owing at the old and new card. I explained this to her and she invited me to try back in about 6 months when everything has had time to settle down and I get some util paid down.

I was surprised at the quick turnaround. even for a denial. Nice lady though!

Thanks SpecFile! After the respect their CR showed me yesterday and the time she spent explaining to me what I should do to qualify with them, I know I will come back after the first of the year. BTW. I fell off the wagon today and got another useless inq. Why, oh why?!?

go to the mirror, do all you positive affirmations and pay an extra $10 over your normal payent on every account this month and all will be forgotten.

I was approved a few weeks ago and then the wait was around 3-4 weeks.

It took over a month for me but it was worth the wait. I not only got their credit card with a $7500 CL, I also refinanced my vehicle with them for 6.5% vs the 9% that I was paying.
