Another edit, two years later: This is an old, old thread. Many, if not most, of those who posted here have moved on. If you're reading this for the first time, please realize two things:

The CC advice here, especially which cards are hot, is pretty much obsolete.
If you try to reply to a post, chances are good that the person you're asking isn't here any more. Please notice the date of a post (on any thread) before asking a question of the OP!

This is a safe haven for all of the credit card junkies out there. When you are tired of seeing those inquiries add up and have no place to turn. Rest assured that you can come to this thread for support and restraint.

This thread is dedicated to Sleigh (The Sleigh Center) who realized that applying for CCs was like breathing in oxygen (normal activity in order to survive). Sleigh realized one day that there is more to life than checking the mailbox for new arrivals.

After several months of pulling fingernail chips from his teeth, Sleigh said enough. Then The Sleigh Center was born. A place where all are welcome to discuss their addiction to CCs or just filling out applications for CCs. If you need to be medicated or restrained in order to stop applying for CCs, we can provide those services as well.

how about an interactive application that when you hit sends you an e-mail that says something like,

"Sorry, we are unable to process your application due to a Sleigh Center Alert on file."

i think we would need to raise the insurance policy limits first.

There he is! Did you have to use your sonar skills to find him in the dark. I hope he doesn't have to get a restraining order against you Sleigh.

You know Specfile, I still find myself thinking that he (mailman) forgot to leave everything today and will be back. 99% of the offers that come in the mail go straight to the shredder because I am so familiar with their terms, but then there is still that 1%. Do you ever get over that feeling of anticipation?

No Sleigh. I never have gotten over that feeling of anticipation. I open the mailbox door and take everything out and then shut the door. Then open the door again in hopes that the angle my head was tilted at might not have been great enough to see all the way to the back of the mailbox where a beautiful piece of credit bliss might be hiding.

If you're going off of that premise your best bet would be to steal one of the big blue ones from the post office and stick it in front of your house. That's not against the law to joke about is it? Don't want to be put on the U.S. P. S. bulletin board of most wanted.
