I'm excited about some of the Amex perks like $5/$25 BP gas, $10/50 Lowes, etc. Plus the 3x CLI and backdating.

But I'd really like to have Discover for some of those Shop Discover deals.

I like GE for the credit limits soft pull.

I try to maximize the rewards, so whatever card gives me the most cash back or points! I haven't needed to call CS on anything so I can't comment on that.

Some perks I find nice though are AmEx's 3x CLI and Discover's ShopDiscover. Discover also was the first to auto CLI me.

The mobile iphone apps for Amex and Discover are top quality which is a big deal for me. Customer service has been really good with both cards as well. Maybe a little better with Discover. I'd have to say its a tie between Discover It and Amex PRG. I prefer the look of PRG to Discover. I like the "Cash-Over" option with discover so that I don't have to find an ATM. It's a toss up I guess, haha.

I try to use ccs according to reward % being offered. Otherwise I use CSP as default card, main reason (I'll be honest) the card design, I love using the card because of this, nice classy way to pay for things. (also depending on where I'm using it at, don't use it much at mc donalds or other places like that) Not to mention, its just a great card in general with great perks and awesome customer service! And when I don't feel like using CSP or usually under $10, I'll use arrival card for 2%.

Great thread btw let keep it going, interested in what others fav cards are and why.

Discover It.

All else being equal, they have better trade in value of the pointe for simple folks who don't trade them in for Airlines, etc

Shop Discover is awesome.

my daily go to card is Fidelity Amex, for the easy peasy 2% on everything

Nothing personal, I get what I can from each.

The UA Club card has traditionally been my favourite, albeit less-so now after the recent devaluation. However unless I can find something better, it'll still remain as my workhorse card (by a large margin).

Put simply, it's an all-inclusive card (like the Amex platinum) but with a high earning rate (1.5 per dollar spent).

The apps are very streamline and integrated to your account. There is more information available and they are just a high quality app. It's kind of hard to explain but it is obvious that they spent a lot of money designing them. I don't know if you have used the chase app but it stinks compared to discover and amex. Very smooth/ seemless design with more transaction and rewards information. The "cash over" is at select grocery stores; you can get cashback with a discover purchase and it is not considered a cash advance. No fees, and if you pay your balance in full, no interest. I find it very handy when I need a few dollars for laundry or parking/transit and don't want to find an ATM as I rarely carry cash now.
