topic Co-Branded AMEX Credit Cards in Credit Cards

I've come across a few threads that stated it was easier to get approved for a credit card through the co-branded website (Hilton, Delta and SPG for example). Underwriting score can usually be 50-60 points less. Is there any truth to this? If true, has anyone been denied going through Amex and then later approved from the co-branded website?

Is it easier to be approved if I was to apply through Hilton's Website versus applying via AMEX?

Some of Amex co-branded partners co-own the card portfolio and there are times they want to expand its portfolio so that means they expand their credit approval guidelines. Alot of folks say that Delta Skymiles is easy to get.

Also, when you apply through the partners website it will direct you to the Amex site, so it really does not make a difference on which site you apply.
