No, I put first name, middle initial, last name.

Most of mine are first name last name.

But I am from so long, long ago and so far, far away that I still do as I was taught and use first initial, middle initial and full last name as a formal signature.

Which works out fine for everything except an IRS refund check

Was there some rationale a long time ago for not signing your full name?

IRS refund check? In this day and age of e-filing? Surely, you jest!

atlast....waiting for the refund e-check , the stimulus e-check and the state e-check refund to post to the "buy Mama a new car" account....

I efile (or rather my accountant does) but I do not direct deposit - a large number of those are still getting misdirected

it also makes it somewhat easier to get items removed from CR /protect assests in the slight event that u have an acct go into collections.

I usually always put my first name, middle initial and last name.

Amex clear sent my card and it just displays my last name.

People at the register have a real issue with it, and I say.....just wait it will print my full name and you can check it against my id.

I have to tell you, the best form of authorizing ever. Usually they don't even ask for id. With this card they do it EVERY time.

I don't but Russian tradition is similar, in many contexts for instance "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin" would be written "V.I. Lenin." What is almost NEVER done in Russia is common US Firstname, Middle Initial, Lastname custom (which I normally use). A Russian named Yuri Ivanovitch Aleksandrov might use all three names in an extremely formal context, but would sign most legal documents "Y. I. Also, what looks like a middle name to us is in Russian the patronymic

American Express ads used to depict a sample card for a "CF Frost" but my own Amex Gold says "Firstname D Lastname" as do all my personal cards. My Corporate Amex card says "Firstname D Lastname PHD" since I'm in R&D.
