New Cards Received Today

First let me say THANK YOU again for the wonderful advice received by all of you. This post would not be possible without your support and advice!

Since the AU benefits will go away soon. I decided to start working on my husband's credit. He is a AU on several of my AMEX cards with $10K limits. He does not have a card in his name with a CL greater than $2,500 until today!

On the advice of folks on this board. I applied for a Hooters Mastercard. I got the 30 day reply message as many of you. He received the card today with a CL of $5K and no AF. Interest rate is18.2% not that great but okay for now.

I applied for two Juniper cards appx 2 weeks ago, Carnival Sea Miles MasterCard and the US Airways. Received confirmation he was approved same day for $750 for the US Airways card. He received an email today from Carnival stating he was approved. The CL on that card is $1,000.

He also received a credit line increase from BOA. In addition to some pre approval offers (we are not taking them) from other companies.

His Equifax credit score is 676 and I am not sure what the others are.

He applied and was declined for Citi because of collection items.

I am so happy for him and excited he is building his credit. I told him when we met that I wanted his credit scores to be as high as mines. He is surely on his way.

speaking from past experience, two 350's weren't as good as one 600. so again, logic fly's in the face of reality.
