Just a wild guess here, but did you apply using a code from a targeted mail offer? If so, it might have had more specific APR terms, instead of a range. If that's what happened, maybe it technically qualifies as approving you for the "best" terms as long as they match what was on your mail offer.

When I was approved for discover, they did not give a score as I only had two months credit history, this no score. Do you have six months credit history yet, if not, that's why you were not given a score. Also, some apps for the freedom card say that 22.99 is the only apr, so you would have been given the best terms for that app.

I haven't gotten a score from Chase in a while. Although, they say they don't just go by scores, they look at he whole credit profile. So perhaps they didn't use the score to determine your approval.

My Chase Freedom just arrived, and the score was provided. Its on the back of the sheet that the credit card was attached to.

By the way, my Card Acquisition Risk Score was 739 (range 250 - 900) Source Chase Bank USA. And since It says I can obtain a copy of my credit report from Equifax, that must be who they pulled. Credit Sesame says they also pulled Experian.

So, I did the right thing there.

Strange thing is, my Sallie and Priceline have been getting the lions share of my spending recently.

The one strange thing I've noticed about Chase, is they dont use an image of their credit cards all over the place. Every other card I have, I can easily choose between various sources of pictures for my signature, but not with the Freedom. I cant find a good Freedom Signature image. Heck, I cant find a bad Freedom Signature image...
