Found my old AMEX green card...felt good in my hand

Ok.... So as I was going thru old papers etc... I found my old Green card (sighs).... Date on it was member since 2003..exp 2009
I just held it awhile, even put it in my wallet and fantasized about how good it looked in there, and what it felt like taking it out and pretending to swipe.

Then I found my old collections letter, a cashiers check receipt for $781 made payable to Amex, and a personal letter from Amex dated 2008, wanting me back with an approved letter for the Optima card to get back in with them that I never took. Funny that I held onto all if this, lol!!!
Fast forward 6 yrs to present time.... Had a chp7 bk in August. Doesn't look like ill be back in for another 9yrs and 10 months now.
They don't approve you with bk showing in CB.

I guess I'll just keep all if it, and once a year pull out the Green Card and hold it, think about all the good times we had together, and count the days till I get back, and when I do....... I'll have a backdate of 20yrs!!! Bk falls off in 2023, and I became a member in 2003 something to look forward too I guess

(Takes a drink of wine, wipes a tear away, and carefully puts the Green Card back in the box until next time)

Wow... a bit nostalgic eh? LOL

Hold on to the card in the event you need it for MSD - the CC# will be handy if they can't locate it. Granted, it might be a while, but if you've held on to it for this long, why not.

I still have mine from 07, tucked away in a drawer since my ch7 in 09. I too see it every so often, remembering the good times and then also remembering how it was part of why I ended up with the bk. Glad to know I'm not the only sentimental one around here lol!
