I want to app for a couple of cards: AMEX PRG, Banana Republic and Marriot. Yes, the right thing to do is to wait and bring my utiliation down because it's high. Quite high. I'll bring everything down by March.

In the mean time, I'm wondering about some of the recon reasons you've given.

Anyone?

We'll that is high. Since there really isn't a way to recon Amex - that's a definitely wait. Chase may recon but you'd have to have a compelling reason for that util. In the end, I think its a denial there too.

Amex PRG I'd apply now, that shouldn't be a problem and Banana probably not either but you can't TD on if denied but based on your like $9k limit I would think approval would be for sure.
Now if your chase is over 50% I might wait on marriott but if you have good lengthy history with chase they have been very giving on that card so might be worth it... But do other 2 first to test waters

an idea for a recon.......its christmas so the util is high, you expect a substantial tax return thus the card will be paid off!
