Does AMEX allow me to report my loans/scholarships/money from other sources as my income? I know Discover allowed me to do that.

Not sure, if you're not claiming it on your taxes it is generally considered no-fly with Amex as I understand it. Discover markets to students in particular so it's not incredibly surprising to me that they "allowed" it.

If the scholarships/loans are reported as income on your taxes then it's permissible.

Not to hijack this thread but is this the rule for all lenders (BoA/Wells Fargo/Discover) or is it an AmEx only thing?
