      <title>Credit Card not honoring sign up bonus?</title>

      <description>I had an offer for the boa travel reward card and I was approved for it today. The offer was for 20,000 travel reward points after spending 500.00 in 90 days. After apping online, I called to be sure the bonus and 0% interest were added to my account. The csr said there was no bonus on the card. I told her I app'd for the card for that reason. She said sorry. I then tried to chat with a csr via the website and they could give me no information on the signup bonus. That bonus was offered to me on the website when I logged in. How can they not honor it? What should I do next? If they won't honor it, I don't want the card. I've already moved part of my cash rewards limit to the travel card. I'm very irritated right now and need advice.....thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sorry for any mistakes, I'm on my cell</description>

      <description>Most base level CSRs do not have the authority over this type of situation, and are discouraged from transferring to a supervisor, so they'll usually tell you that there's nothing they can do. What you want to do its open the stickied thread on this board and get the number for BOA's executive office. Contact someone there, but polite and visual, and they should be willing to help you.</description>

      <description>I did take a pic of the offer with my phone just in case....lol But they also mailed me an offer of 15,000 that I held on to. If they won't honor the 20k, I will push for the 15k.</description>

Quite often BofA CSR do not see the special targeted offer on the account as I had several BT offers for 0% APR and 2% BT fee and they always told me that it is 4% BT fee. (phone or sm both did not see it)&amp;nbsp; Then I found out that they do not see online offers on the account unless they can search with the offer code ...so you might still get your sign up bonus if you applied with the link/offer you got online. Did you get a special code if yes take a picture/print screen of it and just wait to see if you get it. I would only start with CSR if the sign up bonus is not paid out or not paid out correctly. Good luck!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It only shows the offer and my name, not any code. That preapproval has been popping up on my account for a month now. I finally took advantage of it. They have to be able to see it because I used their link. The new account finally showed up on my account this morning so I was going to call and talk to someone else on the backdoor number that is posted here. I have never had any problems with boa so I hope they get this taken care of.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The backdoor number says it's for a credit analyst. When I called it yesterday, the csr didn't seem to know much. She was also supposed to change the card over from the platinum to the visa signature. She said it would take a few weeks. Later when I was online chatting with a csr, they said that there was not anything in the system about having it made into a visa signature. So somebody doesn't know what they are talking about. &lt;img id="catsad" class="emoticon emoticon-catsad" src="https://ficoforums.myfico.com/i/smilies/16x16_cat-sad.png" alt="Cat Sad" title="Cat Sad" /&gt;&amp;nbsp; Hopefully I am worrying needlessly. I also have a mailed offer for the same card but for 15,000 points so if they won't accept the screenshot, then they should at lease honor that. But if all else fails, their website offers 10,000 points. The csr said that I had no bonus which just does not seem right to me.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The conversion from Platinum Plus to Signature does indeed take a few weeks. I did it on both of my cards Travel and&amp;nbsp; Cash rewards and in both cases it took 3-4 weeks.&amp;nbsp;So this info was correctly given to you by the CSR. Once the conversion is done you will see it online as the account number will change...but this will not happen tomorrow...so just be patient. If I were you I would not mess too much around with the account change now as this could indeed create trouble with your sign up bonus....just my 2cents&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It will be a couple weeks before I get it....Boa always seems to take their time mailing out cards. When I spoke with someone yesterday, they said they could not see all the information which was normal since the card was not even made yet. I guess I will wait until I get it and see what happens. They did show that I have the 0% interest for 12 months though.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

IMO, first meet the elegibility spending criteria, then just hold on to the snapshot on your phone that confirms the offer, this way if any issues arise with the bonus redemption you have a back up.&amp;nbsp; Without using the card, you have no recourse.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
