So disappointing for Bloomingdales Amex!!!

I just called the customer service to check the CL of the Bloomingdales Amex. It told me the CL of the card is $2K. I was so disappointed when I hard that. Hopefully, I will get CLI after six months.

Mine Delta Amex was 1K.....

I was shocked when I see the credit limit....

guess that's the lowest record among all applicants....

did it cost you a HP to upgrade?

I just called anyhow for the fun of it, and was told it shouldn't require a HP. It has to be manually reviewed though, so I am still awaiting for a decision.

I haven't checked yet. I just pulled MPM earlier today and I couldn't see both EXP and EQ. They had problems pulling both reports. By the way, they told me it took a whole billing cycle for the upgrade. It didn't. It showed up Bloomingdale Amex earlier this morning.

i just called their backdoor number just to make sure.

talked to an analyst, and he said a HP is required (for me at least).

So now I'm on hold waiting to talk to customer service to cancel the upgrade request....

Yes, it required HP for Amex upgrade. They pulled HP from EXP for Macys Amex many years ago.

it is not ugrade. They open another account to use outside Macys. It is a separate credfit line. You are going to get another bill for the Amex.

I just had my request cancelled, and they said a CR has yet to be pulled yet. Asked for a SP CLI, and they said I am not eligible for one yet since its less than 6 months since I last got mine.

I figured it's nice if it's SP, but I would rather wait till March / April if they're going to do a HP.

I never had it. I applied for my Bloomingdales card long ago and they were using a separate network back then. It was my 2nd card at that time and I had little to no credit history, so it wasn't surprising they started me out at just $100, even though that was kinda stupid because there's barely anything below 100 there. I'm not complaining about them or anything though; I'm pretty happy with everything so far.

I'll just hold off on the upgrade for a couple more months when some of my inquiries and accounts have aged.

I didn't ask for the network branded version upgrade then because I knew I wasn't going to be approved for it at that time.

Not sure how many inquiries they pulled for my initial app either since I never checked.

I do shop at Bloomingdales quite often so keeping the card open isn't too difficult, but I don't really put any spending on that card unless the discount requires the purchases to be charged onto the Bloomingdales card.

Yes, it is Amex network card. It gives 2x to 5X bonus points when you use outside of the stores (like my Macys Card). I don't have to bring store card when I carry Macys Amex. Macys Amex use it as store card at Macys. It is kind of cool. By the way, do you have Macys card?
