      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'd be more open to department store cards (mainly a Target Card) if they didn't require a hard pull. Whenever they ask me to apply I say "No thanks, I can't afford the credit hit" and just leave it at that.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Chances are they have no idea what a hard pull is and just want to open a card for commission. Then they respond "well we do offer debit cards" as if thats beneficial in any way.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would tend to think that the only benefit to a department store debit card is eventually getting preapproved for the credit card without a hard pull...and even that is a long shot.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
