Discover Joint Account Fico and CLI outcome

So I had called last month about the Fico and was told it would start on this statement but only for the primary of the account (My partner).

Statement cut yesterday so pull up the PDF of it online and no Fico... I call and this lady (VERY NICE and seemed smart) says that because it's joint account and only primary gets it they will mail it to him directly alone. (okay fine)

Call back tonight with him on phone also to process CLI (They will only do it even sp with both of us) so we go through steps and they ask for income seperately and rent/mortgage and what not and says it needs hp... Both of us!

We don't need any credit from Discover since we have maxed out the 5% with Amazon and it's paid off but slightly annoying that it's been $4500 since opening and they will not increase at all and I feel like if I let them hp they will still say no so we will leave it... but this rep was also nice!

so overall despite not seeing fico yet and no CLI I was very pleased with Discover today... I love calling into the US and being able to connect instantly if I want and not having to answer 10 security questions... they are the way American Express USE to be!

How old is the card?

Discover is on the list of cards to possibly replace Chase Freedom in August. I don't want to replace it with another slow growing card, though.

Hmm, so inorder to do a CLI they will need to review both primary and co-applicants cr?

i was pretty sure I said that when you mentioned being added as a joint applicant. Did you think it would be only your partner's credit?

Seems nice in some ways, but it sucks that they won't give you your FICO yet they want to hard pull you AND your partner in order to make a credit change on your account! Sorry to hear. Though, I guess if they HP you both you'd at least both get your FICOs then!

1. Citi (Nothing boils my blood faster then telling me it's because of the Gov.!)

2. Wells Fargo - Even the lady I spoke with in Executive office had to put me on hold to talk to the same people that I had that didn't know anything and she knew even less then they did... don't put someone in a high position that doesn't know a thing about credit when you work in banking!

3. GE - between the overseas and the computer that runs the mother ship and can't be over rided it's exhausting

4. having to go through backways and have multiple calls and dealings for something that should or could be so simple and still having no contact with who actually makes decisions is annoying.

5. Amex seems to be pushing more CSR overseas as other banks are pulling more back to the US

6. Discover - CHEAP and HP happy

7. Chase - HP Happy and still mixed results

8. Navy -reps i seem to get are not trained and don't seem to know.

who did I leave out?

2. I wasn't expecting them not to want a HP of both of us if that was the case, was just simply commenting to trying for the sp CLI option which never was an option before I was added and seems to be the same after being added... not a negative towards Discover and how it works (well I mean it's a negative that they want a hp but so do many!)

3. and I'm also fine and understand that the primary would only get the free Fico... that would just be beyond awesome and not expected if they actually gave Fico for both primary and co-applicant!

On a joint account, I'd expect two free scores.

I wouldn't expect a free FICO for an AU because their credit wouldn't typically be pulled.

LMAO... That almost looks like every top lender. I guess they're all getting lumps of coal from Credditaddict!

Not completely... I was just giving negatives... some of them have possitives!

1. Citi - "usually" seems to be good for a sp CLI every 3 months on regular non business cards or is it 4 months

2. Wells fargo has of recently started offering SP CLI options like Discover (doesn't help me but I do like this)

3. GE - come on once you are in they will give you 10 cards if you want, they increase faster than Navy and they give you chance after chance like Capital One... I just got a 76 card just months after settling my last unpaid GE card!

4. Capital One - they give you about 15 chances after burning them to try again! (they are a better version of First premier x10!

5. Amex - SP CLI what more can you say!

6. Discover - good BT on opening, good rewards in categories and fab customer service

7. Chase - they give multiple cards once they like you and rewards can be good

8. Navy - Hello CREDIT LINES!
