balance transfer help with discover?

I would like to do a balance transfer from citi to discover but for some reason , discover requires the creditors address and city and zip. Never seen this before so does anyone know where to find out that information.

You can find it on the back of your credit card.

You can also contact Citi or obtain the payment information from your Citi online account.

For any company I'd check the web site. If not available on the public side of the site it should be available after you log in. If nothing else, you'll be able to find the info on your statement. If all else fails, call and ask.

When I've done balance transfers to my Disocver once you type the card number in everything else(Creditor Name/Address) just prefilled automatically.

I did a few BT to Discover at the beginning of the month. I just checked the statements of each card I was transferring to Discover. Sometimes Discover will auto fill when you type in the banks name sometimes not and you will have to check the statement. Biggest pain was all of my BT accepted electronic payment except GE/Amazon which was a paper check so I had to watch it to make sure I didn't miss a payment.

This info can also be found on your statement, its the address to mail in payments.

How about a BT to Discover from a non-credit card account? What's the best way to handle this?

I was thinking about transfering the balance from my car loan to Discover to take advantage of the

0%. Thanks for any help.

Dont see any reason why not as long as you are sure can pay off prior to the end of the BT. I BT partial amount of a personal loan to Disc with no problem all they need is the name of the creditor, address where to send the payment (if not electronic pmt) and the account number.

Gdale, did you trigger any alarm with Discover? May I ask the ratio of your Discover CL used for the BT?

I can pay off the balance on the car loan. My strategy is to toss around either a portion or whole loan between all of my 0% interest CCs to stimulate activity.
