Hello everyone,

How long does it typically take for a cancelled card to show up as cancelled on a credit report? I want to run one to confirm that it has been closed, but don't want to waste the money. Thanks in advance.

P.S. By cancellation I mean closing of an account

Depending on the lender and how soon the information gets sent/updated to the CRA, anywhere from 1 week to 60 days.

Why not try with a free service like Quizzle first? Or did you use that service already in the past 6 months?

If you haven't done so in the past year, Try this : AnnualCreditReport.com

You can do that once a year, You can see all 3 reports (No Score) and it includes account status, Active/Closed.
