Transfer Freedom CL to CSP?

Hey everyone....
Quick question....
How easy and possible is it for Chase to move over credit lines?
I have a $5,000 Freedom with a $0 balance and a $6,000 CSP (I use between 400 and $2000 per month but pif)
I want the CSP to be $10,000 but do not want to take a HP for a cli.
I was thinking that I could move over $4,000 from Freedom to CSP, making it a full $10,000.
Tbh, I don't use Freedom that much, and even if I do use it more, I can just pay as I go. The APR of 22.99% is horrible, and I benefit more from CSP.
Should I call normal CS or call the backdoor #?

Moving credit lines with Chase is very easy and customer friendly. You can just send them a message through your account and tell them you would like however much of your Freedmon CL moved to your CSP and they will do it no questions asked. Their only stipulation is you have to keep $500 of CL on your Freedom, which in this case wouldn't be a problem anyway.

Yep super easy.. I'd even call the CSP line to do it. They will not have any problem with doing that.

I just did this yesterday over the Secure Message. After few hours, it was taken care of. I moved CL from Sapphire to Freedom to take advantage of the 0% intro APR. But I think after the promo, I will move back the CL to Sapphire as the Freedom has higher APR .

Omg yall... So I called them and two things:
Said I could move cl whenever I wanted.

I had a pending Authorization for $1.00 on my Freedom even though I have a $70+ credit balance (they owe me 71 something bc I paid a gas charge in advance.)
They said because of that I could only xfer $3,999 which is a real pita. So looks like the $500 thing is not true. They wouldnt let me xfer more than $3999/4999 to Sapphire.
Really Chase? A $9,999 cl. Omg that would irritate the hell out of me.
I called CSP cust service. Is there another person I should call? It's such a small thing, but I'm so irritated with it.

Good to know. They had told me $500 this summer so perhaps they have changed since then.

@young, wait for the authorization to fall off.... No one, including the EO, can do anything about that. It's not their fault you have an authorization for a dollar on your account. On the bright side, it usually falls off within 3-5 days.

While I agree that this is the thing to do, and it's not their fault about the $1 authorization, clearly someone on the Chase side could have made a different decision. Leaving $1000 credit limit with $1 authorized doesn't seem to be any kind of risk to me.

I don't think its as much of a risk issue at all. I think its more of an IT / administrative issue.

They can't remove a pending charge that has already been authorized, just in case if the merchant does decide to charge it.

Even closed card with existing balances will still reflect the CL and balance, whereas in this situation if chase were to allow it, it will be $1 owed with $0 CL.

They probably can't override the system to do that, and this rule is in place to also prevent CSRs / analysts from bugging the system out unnecessarily / unintentionally.

No, it would be $1 owed with $1000 CL. (And in fact there is a credit balance anyway). I agree it maybe a system limitation, but that is squarely Chase's responsibility.

Ugh. Im so impatient lol. I just returned about $100 worth of stuff, and that didn't affect the avail credit at all hahahha. Stupid $4,999 -.-. I swore there was another number I could call.

Very odd, why did you have to keep 1k on the card? The rep I spoke with let me keep only 500 on my Amazon card when I moved it to my Slate......?

Idk? Maybe I should call them back. I don't really like my Freedom all that much any more. It actually even says in red on my online thing "-$$.$$" as the balance.

Returns or credits can take up to 72 hours to post. What's the rush? I feel like I missed something

There is no rush. I called a diff number and got them to do it. Was a piece of cake. Just goes to show that the basic CSRs don't know much.

It may take a little longer as well since banks' systems do not refresh during weekends and on public holidays.
