AMEX Member Since 2014?

I applied for the AMEX BCE card on Dec. 25th and was instantly approved. I recieved it in the mail today and it says on the card "Member Since: 14". Since I was approved in 2013 and I activated it in 2013 (today), it seems like I should be a member since 2013. Anyone have any ideas about this?

It could be because your first statement, therefore the first reporting, will be in 2014.

The MSD would have nothing to do with statement reporting. I would guess, they are printing cards for 2014 and it's an error

I applied for the PRG Amex on the 22nd and the online account is saying I am a member since 2013. Must be an issue with holiday time off and bookkeeping if you apply after the 25th.

I am sure that is a mistake, I applied and instant approved on Dec 21, I just activated my card today, it is since 2013, my first statement cut on Jan 9th(BCP), Jan 19th(Green).

personally i would call today, less you have to prove to the CSR, its not 2014 yet, you have allready been approved your date should be 2013.

don't want to get a CSR that is in a bad mood or hungover and doesn't want to get it fixed for you.

I applied for the BCE on 12/28 and it was instantly approved. My online account/iPhone app both are showing "Member Since 2014."
I've yet to receive the card though.

Amex sounds like they are taken a few days off for the New Year. Tbh, I would get it straightened out sooner than later.

I applied for the Amex HHonors on dec 12, They sent me a letter requesting addres verification. I called amex on dec 26 to verify my address and the CSR told me I was approved. My online profile and the card show member since date 2014

Perhaps a system glitch? Either way, better to have it researched now rather than later.
