Which card to apply for

Hello all ,

I will be applying for new credit card on March by then Ill have 1 year history with cap1 secured and 18 monthes with Applied bank , 0 Enquires on last 12 monthes on all three CRA's, couple of baddies here and there but they all PAID showing 0 Balance last baddie was from 2009, I have the following to choose from, any recomendation will be appreciated. Also which report they pull am in NC

As you should have seen from reading the forum, to answer this type of question people need to know

1) Goals: such as cash back, travel rewards, low APR, balance transfer etc

2) Spending areas: different cards have enhanced rewards for various types of purchase, if you don't spend much in them, the card isn't great.

(and profile info which you have somewhat provided)

Otherwise, people just suggest their favorite card without knowing if it really applies (e.g. the Discover IT suggestion)

Also, what does: "I have the following to choose from" mean? Are these the ones you have narrowed down, got preapprovals or something else?

Out of that list, I'd choose either the Citi Dividend or Discover It. But the QuickSilver does offer 1.5% on all purchases if you don't think the 5% categories will be useful for your spending.

3 blue cards, and 3 gray cards... decisions, decisions...

OK, the Amex Platinum is really confusing me. And the comment about the Palladium in your signature. Do you have a very large income that would allow you to properly utilize those cards? Or a job that reimburses expenses?

Without knowing your current credit limits, and scores, and goals, it is difficult to suggest. Discover IT is a good card, relatively easy to qualify for, and also very good if you like online shopping. Chase Freedom, i'm not sure if they would give you a card with a good starting limit, since I have no idea of your current limits and scores.

Try for Fidelity Amex instead of Quicksilver. And if you can handle the low monthly caps, the Sallie Mae World Mastercard is pretty versatile.
