As reported on a blog the new account bonus is up from 20k to 50k for the capital one venture.

Pros: 50k bonus worth $500 on travel, 2 "miles" per dollar spent

It isn't as good as the 100k miles offer from 2010 (doubt that's coming back, but who knows?), but it's still a good offer for $500 off travel. Could use it as an excuse to make an additional 1-2 day trip to Vegas!

On the downside, the triple pull is tad too harsh

Honestly, as tempting as it may seem, save your triples. The SPG would be a better addition I have the Venture WMC - it's *ok*.

Well, I bit the bullet... and was not expected to be approved since I just applied for the venture one last month which was approved.

Approved for 45k... WHAT! Yeah, I'm sitting here in shock as I had no idea that was even possible (and is now my highest limit card).

Very Good Offer. Capital One rejected my last App. So Can't try till 6 months atleast.

The sign-up bonus is tempting!

If I do apply, it's mostly just for the sign-up bonus. I don't plan to use the card much once I've met the minimum spend requirement.

well i could not resist a free 500.00 instantly approved . only for 7.5k but i do not plan on keeping the card past the first year anyways. I have too many other cards that are better. I did not mind the pulls because unless i jump on another offer like this.. I have no other plans , needs or wants in the credit world.
