Hello all,

just got an email invitation to apply for Amex Blue awesome intro offer, could this be legit or as I hacked? I don't think I'm anywhere near when I should be to get offers from therm. I have NEVER received one in my life. I understand about mass mailings but still from Amex? Thoughts,... Suggestions... Offer expires on the 31st of this month. ALS I am super nervous about hackers if I do choose to apply should I respond to the email or I go the the site on my own?

I got the same one, its legit.

FYI: It is no guarantee of an approval its just an ad trying to get you to apply.

I figured that much but it still seems weird that I would even be on their radar... Did you apply?

I already have the Blue Cash Everyday which I recommend over the Blue. The Blue is one of their older cards which I guess they are trying to get people to apply for now?

It's not really an "older" card in any bad sense, anymore than the green is an older card (and much older than the blue). There is a confusion between the Blue and the Blue Cash. The latter really is an older card that many of thought was no longer available until a recent post here showed us it was.

Exactly, just a marketing solicitation / invite to apply, nothing special.

BCE, and BCP are the only AMEX Revolvers I would apply for anyway. They are by far the best of the bunch.

Depends (as usual with credit cards)! For me, for cash back, BC is much better than BCP/BCE. All depends on spending patterns, and of course if you want something other than cash back, like Delta miles, another revolver would be better.

Yes this is the same one

I think this is the standard public offer anyway. On the website, you can see they offer 10K points after $1000 in purchases for this card. Wait for a special targetted offer.

Give us your info? Score, AAOA, baddies, etc..... I see you have low cards but that is probably because you have so many store cards which were probably opened up all at the same time.

OK. This the power of marketing! Were you thinking about this card before?

If you do want to apply for an Amex (and remember that this is very similar to applying cold, no guarantee of anything from receiving the email) make sure that this is the one you want.

Basically, no need to apply for a "preselected" offer, or theparticular card they selected for you, but your decision, and if you go for it, good luck.

Also, don't rush into apply for the blue right now you have plenty of time and plenty of other cards you may want.

Don't have true Fico's fakos are high 5's one is 622 baddies 1 collection that I am trying to clear up. Aaoa is almost at 2 years I think. The rest is student loans current differed and a car note current as we'll. Au on DH barclsycard. utl is 28 or 32 spread across all card only 4 of them have a balance the rest are 0. No public records

Get that collection cleared up, and your cards paid off. only have 1 card reporting less than 10% for best scoring......

Also pull atleast 1 of your FICO scores. You can get a free trial of score watch which is an Equifax Fico from this site.
