Amex Reporting???

When does a new Amex acct report to the credit bureaus? My 1st statement just cut on the 15th of Dec and I still haven't received an alert of a new account. Just curious and most anxious for it to report ?? Thanks

I opened a Chase Freedom 10 days after my Amex approval and it's already reported.....

I'm also anxious for amex accounts to report, Rep at amex told me that it would take up to two months. My amex accounts have been opened since November, and that the rep told me both accounts should be reported no later than January. YMMV

Thanks for the replies Although disheartening, at least I won't be continually waiting daily for an alert!!!!! Was anxious to see what my "msd" of 1990 would do to my reports. Mighty thanks!

I was approved for PRG and BlueSky 10-02-13 with backdating to 1988...3 Statements have been cut and still no reporting...what's up with that? Has yours reported or can anyone provide feedback...Thx

Okay...good to know its not just me...I wonder why AMEX is taking so long to report.....I hope others will chime in and share their experience...

Haha, we have almost the same closing dates (mine was Dec 11th) and I got a Freedom right around the same time (11-12 days after my AmEx). I like your style bruh!

Same thing here though. Coming up on the second statement and it's not reporting yet.

4th Statement just cut still not reporting. However, received a nice PRG hardsided welcome brochure a few days ago. Very impressive...hopefully AMEX will report my MSD 1988 soon...

DG just did her 61 day CLI a couple days ago, still no sign of AMEX on her report at all.

I was approved on 12/5 for an Amex Blue Cash with a statement closing date of 12/27. My payment date is 1/21, so I'll hopefully see them report within a few days of that. I will reply if/when Amex decides to tell her parents (the Bureaus) about our new relationship.

Have an Amex charge card for about 14 months now and Amex is really weird with reportings. Of the 14 months, they didn't report anything for 4 months straight (months 7-10), now they are back reporting month-month. Weirdos!

on the months where amex changed from reporting to not and vice versa, has anything on your accounts changed materially?

i'm at second month with charge and revolver amex and nothing reporting yet.

And when Amex does report, would they report balance history? So, for example, month three they would show 1 and 2 as well?

Yes when it reports it will show 1.2.3. months of history
