Is this a difficult card to get? I would really like to get this card in mid April, unless it pulls TU lol. I would like to put all of the rewards into the investment account for a partial savings or just invest to see if I can make some more money.

How old is your BoA card? Since the Fidelity is issued through FIA, account history with them may play into it. Other limits as well. I wouldn't apply for it without at least a score of 720+.

This card will not establish any relationship with American Express in the way you think it will. This card is issued by FIA/Bank Of America and runs on the Amex payment network. It is not issued by American Express. What you are looking for is a card that you will find you if search directly on americanexpress.com.

This card isn't underwritten by Amex. It's owned by Bank of America.

You can try freezing your reports, but I doubt it will help. Most national banks, especially chase, will insist on pulling a specific report, especially when a specific file is frozen, simply for fraud prevention purposes. Your files are supposed to be frozen to prevent fraud, and if you can't unfreeze your own file, they usually assume you are not who you claim to be.
